Payment Conditions

Banksias catering requests 100% payment prior to the date of your event. We reserve the right to cancel the event if payment is not made.

Deposits – Payment instalments are detailed as follows:

20% of the total amount quoted to you by Banksias Catering is required as a deposit. The deposit is expected after your initial quote, before Banksias Catering proceeds further with your event coordination. This secures your booking date and allows Banksias Catering to commence organization and booking of any additional services that you may require. Without a 20% deposit Banksias Catering cannot guarantee availability of services originally quoted by us.

50% of the total amount confirmed to you by Banksias Catering is required thirty days prior to your event date.

100% of the total amount quoted to you by Banksias Catering is required 14 days prior to your event date. Any supplementary costs or credits not recognised in the confirmation will be invoiced seven days after the event as a tax invoice.

Cancellations

A minimum cancellation fee of 20% and 50% with in 30 days, of the total amount quoted to you by Banksias Catering will apply to cancel events. Banksias Catering events cancelled within seven days of an event will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total amount confirmed.

Method of payment

We accept all major credit cards (please note credit cards incur a 2.5% surcharge), direct deposit or cheque (made out to P J & J M Sanger). Dishonoured payments incur a $25.00 fee, plus any other bank dishonour fees incurred by Banksias Catering. Late fee is 15% of the outstanding balance over 30 days.

Accident protection

It is Banksias Catering policy to take the maximum care when in the clients premise or handling client’s possessions, we run by the rule “we take all care and no responsibility”. Banksias catering do carry $20,000 Public liability insurance.

 

Event Management

Banksias Catering can manage and accept responsibility of the event by organising and dealing with all other subcontractors, e.g. hire, beverage, staff and other services, that you may require for your event. A charge of 20% (net GST) of the service will apply. This fee will include the coordination of delivery and pickup for any external resources that you may require. This guarantees a high standard of service and minimises the effort involved for you in dealing with additional companies. You will be supplied with one account that includes all aspects of your event (this includes dealing with all deposits and final payments with all subcontractors). Note we quote subcontractors net GST.

The Banksias Catering Service

In addition, Banksias Catering also offers assistance or management of the event or event design, advice or additional meetings, styling or layout that may be unique to your event or events theme. This service is provided at $100.00 per hour. In the circumstances where an event coordinator is required on the day of the event to supervise set up of décor, furniture, equipment, hire etc a cost of $50.00 per hour applies.

Confirmation of numbers

To ensure our standard and service, confirmation of the number of guests must be provided 14 days prior to the event. We will accept an increase in numbers within 7 days of the event at an additional 20% charge. The final invoice will be drawn on the confirmed number of guests or the number of guests catered for at the event, whichever one is greater.

Tastings

Banksias Catering offers a tasting menu to ensure you are happy with the presentation, flavour and portion of the menu. We have grown a reputation with our menus but if you are questioning them we offer the opportunity to a tasting at 1126 Point Plomer Road, Crescent Head. Tastings are at $100.00 per head and on availability, conditions do apply.
